The Lindy Interviews Ep. 1- Blind Carmelite Hermit Living in Divine Will- Piccarreta- Lindy Morelli

Father Iannuzzi's Website: https://www.ltdw.org/ Lindy's new book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1960950150 I am living as a hermitess in the Carmelite tradition. The gift of the Divine Will is also a key component of my life. I am art of a byzantine Catholic Melkite parish and I have been living in religious vows for 34 years vows of poverty, chastity, obedience, and reparation. My life is dedicated to intense prayer and solitude and also to service for anyone who comes to me in need. I have been dedicated to prayer and service for the first 15 years or 20 years of my consecrated life I dedicated a large percentage of time to service of the poor and founded a small nonprofit organization called lighthouse and scranton Inc. whose purpose has been to provide hospitality, guidance, hope, and comfort for people who are displaced by life altering crises. I have worked widely to help people who suffer from addiction, poverty, homelessness, emotional traumas and grief. I have worked extensively in the fields of prison, ministry professional, counseling, and in hands-on ministry to those in great distress. A large percentage of my efforts have been dedicated to writing, and I have published several articles on the fields of spirituality, disability awareness , Medjugorje, and social justice. Medjugorje has had a very central place in my life because it was where I first received the definitive call to a life of intense prayer and sacrifice, and to a contemplative vocation. Music has also been a very big part of my life. Music has also been a very big part of my life, and I have been very blessed to be able to share a music, ministry in prisons, schools ,hospitals,, nursing homes, and churches etc. I have always felt called to use the gift of music to give comfort, inspiration, hope, and joy to others. At present, the major part of my work is to pray and solitude: to do penance, and to offer reparation and intercession for the needs of the world, and for Mary’s intentions. The second part of my work is to offer hospitality, comfort, and guidance to whom ever approaches me and whatever need, they may have whether it be spiritual, emotional or physical. Lighthouse in scranton still exists as a nonprofit ministry, but I do a lot less formal counseling, and spend a lot more time writing. I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme’s diseaseI was diagnosed with chronic Lyme’s disease, ,and have several other physical conditions ,which limit me, and my ability to do a lot of strenuous work every day so I pace myself, ,and spend the moments and days listening and saying fiat, thank you, smile to whatever my day, and the external and interior Requests of the moment may be. Joy is the carrier of my life. God is the hope of my heart happiness is the path that I walk on heaven is the destiny of my heart souls are the pursuit of my life. Jesus is the treasure of my soul. -Lindy Morelli
